In search for a supplier of the Basstrix Paddle Tail Swimbait; in my last post, I also found and wrote about a governmental intrusion into a certain tackle shop's attempt to display a roadside sign. Not exactly a fish story. But in today's antipathy for the American Sportsman, I felt it necessary to at least mention the little tackle shop's dilemma as after all, "United We Stand", and "Divided", and they will pick us off one-by-one.

In this post however, and in continuing our search for a supplier of the Basstrix Paddle Tail Swimbait. We travel across the Seven Seas... well, across the Pacific anyway. To find a little known bait shop called; Soft Bait City!

Soft Bait City is located on the Isle of New Zealand and "Yep", that's right, New Zealanders are avid fishermen as well. Although, from what I've seen on their website, the New Zealanders are using the Basstrix Paddle Tail Swimbait to catch Giant Snappers, and Tuna, located of course, just off their coast.

But the best part New Zealand's Soft Bait City, is that they HAVE the Basstrix Paddle Tail Swimbait IN STOCK, and ON SALE, and even an Online Store complete with shopping cart.

Basstrix Paddle Tail -Don't Sign on Me!

A friend of mine came to the house one night,
all excited about -what else-, a NEW Miracle lure.

"This Lure", he said. "Will catch Anything."

Yeah, Right! I've heard that story before.

"No, it's True", he said. "It's called the Basstrix Paddle Tail Tube Swimbait. But I can't find them anywhere."

So, as Big Bass Classifieds is all about finding and listing those "hard to find" lures, I set out to go fishing "For" the Basstrix Paddle Tail Tube Swimbait.

Naturally the first place one might check is Ebay which, I already have and posted the results of that search "HERE". But it was after ebay, that I made my Biggest catch.

Continuing the search,
I found a "Sign" (a search engine link), which simply read;

"Basstrix Paddle Tails
***ARE HERE!!!!!!!!"

Ok, "Great!" I thought. But upon clicking the link, this is what I found;

Precision Tackle! Not a bad looking little place for a tackle shop. Though maybe "somewhat" obscure as there is a set-back from the main road. But not to worry as the owner, "Dave Davidson", would simply place a sign out by the roadway.




Well, needless to say, WAR was declared, and the county told Mr. Davidson that his sign had to go. So, Precision Tackle now has a New Sign...

.

Who's right and who's wrong in this matter? I don't know.
All I can tell you is that the sign (link) I saw at on the Search Engine read;

"Basstrix Paddle Tails ***ARE HERE!!!!!!!!"

Up for bid is a lot of great fishing gear.

This lot includes rods, reels, crank baits, jerk baits, spinner baits, buzz baits, top waters, jigs, weights, worms, hooks and many other fishing necessities.

The reason I am selling all this stuff is because I used to fish in a lot of tournaments. I had a bass boat. Just sold it. I just don’t have the time to fish like I used to. But over the past couple of years I surly have collected an immense amount of fishing stuff. I just don’t see the point in keeping all of this when I am not going to be fishing very much.

When I went through my fishing tackle to list on e bay I only selected the stuff that I thought was worth selling. In other words I threw out the junk that no body would want or that was to wore out to sell.

Most of this stuff is in great shape. Some of it is brand new. Although it is not in the box, some of this stuff has never been used. Some of the stuff has been used well, but still has a lot of life in it.

Out beside everything I listed is the price that Bass Pro shops has on that particular item. The total comes to approx. $2176.

Over all these rods are in good shape. Just normal wear and tear. The Bass Pro Crankin Sticks are less than a year old. The Bass Pro Extremes vary between 2 and 3 years old.

These reels look a little rough in the pictures but it is just the paint wore off in a few spots. They all are in perfect working order. The drags work good, reels smooth, and should have plenty of life in them. The Pfluger is the only one that is in less than good shape. But it also works good. I used it for my Carolina rig reel.
