I have always heard about these Calcutta Fishing Reels. In deed a friend of mine allowed his son to use one in the Father & Son Division of Texas State Bass Fishing Tournament. Other Father&Son teams made fun and laughed saying; "Boy, you can't throw that thing". When my friend's son took First Place in the tournament, they stopped laughing, ...and looked at their own sons.

At any rate, when I found this Shimano Calcutta Fishing Reel for sale on craigslist, and Only for a hundred bucks... well, you know I just had to blog about it. So without further a due, here is...


Seller's Description:

Slightly (literally a handful of times) used Calcutta fishing reel.
Reels left handed.
Minimal cosmetic body scratches. These things seem to get scratched the second you take it out of the box haha.
Cleaned and greased regularly.
Catches only 100lb+ fish. (yes, this was a joke.. but hey your the one telling the fish stories so the minnows you catch can be as big as you want when you tell the story)
